Plot Summary
One night in the small English village of Wall (called so due to the wall that stands nearby which is secretly a passageway to another world), young Dunstan Thorn decides to sneak past the guard at the wall to see what is on the other side. In the trading village near the wall, he meets the slave girl of a witch, coyly claiming to be a captive princess and asks if he will be her rescuer. The couple met for only one night and fell in love instantly. Months later, the Guard arrives at Dunstan's door with a baby in a basket, saying his name is Tristan.
