Biography
Career
Ronan got her start on multiple episodes of two Irish television series,
The Clinic (as Rhiannon Geraghty) and
Proof (as Orla Boland, a role that she took over from
Emma Bolger, who played Orla in the first season), from 2003-2005. Her first major motion picture appearance to be filmed was in the movie
Death Defying Acts, although its release has been delayed until 2008. She appears in starring roles in the films
Atonement, for which she received an
Oscar nomination for
Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at the
80th Academy Awards, and
The Lovely Bones. She recently signed on at
CAA.
