Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. (born December 28, 1954) is an American actor, screenwriter, director and film producer. He has garnered much critical acclaim for his work in film since the 1990s, including for his portrayals of real-life figures, such as Steve Biko, Malcolm X, Rubin Carter, Melvin B. Tolson, Frank Lucas and Herman Boone.

Washington has been awarded three Golden Globe awards and two Academy Awards for his work. He is notable as the second African American man (after Sidney Poitier) to win the Academy Award for Best Actor, which he received for his role in the 2001 film Training Day.(April 4, 2002). Denzel Washington is definitely a fan of mines because he made history as being the second african american to win academy award for best actor, and played in various movies with different characters as a civil right leader, dirty cop, good cop, or a bad guy or good guy, military soider, and ganstger, best of all most of his movies are based on a true story. What's unique about him is that he can play multiple characters.

Denzel Washington recently made a contribution to the Brook Army Medical Center to build a "Fisher House" which is a hotel for the families of injured soldiers to stay while their loved one is being treated. Mr. Washington, on behalf of all veterans, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your contribution to the well being of our troops. God bless you.

Denzel Washington, I truly I'm a big fan of yours, I appreciate how you grew in the Bronx,NY and not matter what you were dealing with and the struggles you had you didn't let the streets or any situations take over your life. I admire your courage and the ability you have as an Professional Actor. I mostly admire you for being a positive leader in this world.
