Jack McBrayer (born May 27, 1973) is an Emmy-nominated
American actor and
comedian. In 2006, he gained national exposure in the film
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. He is best known for portraying
Kenneth Parcell on the television series
30 Rock.
McBrayer was born in
Macon, Georgia and studied theater at the
University of Evansville.
Career
Improvisation
McBrayer is an experienced
improvisational comedian, having performed in
Chicago (at
I.O. and
The Second City's e.t.c. Stage),
Los Angeles (
iO WEST) and
New York City (
Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre).

Paul Scheer.
Late Night with Conan O'Brien
McBrayer has performed several times on
Late Night with Conan O'Brien, often lampooning his own
Southern upbringing by playing a stereotypical
hillbilly. On August 10, 2007 and September 20, 2008, he made
cameo appearances, playing his character (Kenneth Parcell) from
30 Rock. During the first appearance, O'Brien remarked to him, "I thought you were above this now."
Television and film work
McBrayer appeared twice in the television series
Arrested Development as a waiter at the
country club often visited by the Bluth family (episodes "
Burning Love" and "
S.O.B.s"). McBrayer currently has a webisode series on
Funny or Die.

McBrayer was featured in the
Nicholas Stoller film
Forgetting Sarah Marshall, alongside

Russell Brand. McBrayer plays "Darald", a southern virgin who is having trouble pleasing his wife on his honeymoon.

He also had a cameo in
