James William Forbes Redmond (born 24 November 1971) is an English actor. He was educated at Clifton College. He currently lives in Bristol.

James' rise to fame began when he started modelling in April 1994, after being spotted in Milan by fashion scout Calvin Klein. After a number of years on the catwalk, James gave up modelling and decided to pursue a career on the small screen. Following a string of commercials, he signed up for acting lessons and, almost immediately, was offered a part in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.

A failed stint of presenting on ITV’s SMTV Live was followed by a role in Sky One's steamy drama, Mile High. He is now noted for his role as John ‘Abs’ Denham in the BBC One medical drama Casualty. He has now quit the series and was last seen on-screen on Saturday 18th October 2008.
