Jamie Waylett (born 21 July 1989 in
Kilburn, London) is an
English actor known for his portrayal of
Vincent Crabbe in six of the
Harry Potter films. He has yet to appear in any other production.
On April 7, 2009, Waylett and a friend were pulled over by police after Waylett took a photograph of the officers' car as they drove past. The officers then searched the boys' vehicle, finding a knife and eight bags of
cannabis.

Waylett was charged a month later for possession of the drug.

Harry Potter cohort,
Joshua Herdman, announced on August 9 that Waylett would not be returning for
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final installment in the series. Waylett's character will be written out with his role in the plot taken over by Herdman's character.
