Lipstick Jungle (TV series)

Article

Lipstick Jungle is an American TV comedy-drama. It was created by DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler for NBC Universal Television Studio. The hour-long series is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell, who also serves as executive producer alongside showrunner Oliver Goldstick. The pilot was directed by Gary Winick.[1] The Futon Critic

The show premiered on February 7, 2008 as a midseason replacement taking over ER's spot at 10:00PM Eastern/9:00PM Central.NBC applying 'Lipstick' in 'ER' space The series will also be broadcast on Living in the UK and 7 Network in Australia. The show was originally slated to have 13 episodes. However, due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, only 7 episodes were produced. It competed indirectly with ABC's Cashmere Mafia, created by Bushnell's former creative partner from Sex and the City, Darren Star.
