is a contemporary American Off-Broadway theater company. It was founded by Carole Rothman and Robyn Goodman in 1979. The name refers to the intention to give 'second stagings' to contemporary American plays that originally failed to find an audience due to scheduling problems, inappropriate venues or limited performance runs.
