30 Rock is the latest project from Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, who starred on NBC's Saturday Night Live and scripted the hit movie Mean Girls starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. In 30 Rock, Fey stars as Liz Lemon, a single writer living and working in New York City. Lemon writes for a live variety program called "The Girlie Show," and hopefully fulfilling her dreams of becoming a successful comedy writer. However, her career is turned upside down when the arrogant new network executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) starts interfering and meddling with the show. He forces Lemon to hire Tracy Jordan (played by SNL alum Tracy Morgan), an erratic and wild Hollywood star, who only makes Lemon's job even more complicated. It's up to Liz Lemon to keep the show and her career together. The show also stars comedy heavy hitters Judah Frelander (Best Week Ever), Jane Krakowski (Ally McBeal) and SNL star Rachel Dratch.
