In the tradition of Kids Say the Darndest Things, Fox's new game show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? puts precocious 5th graders at the helm of a competition for a million dollars. This comedic game show is hosted by famous blue-collar comedian Jeff Foxworthy. Having found success in every part of the entertainment industry he's entered, Foxworthy guides everyday adults through a good-natured trivia competition where 5th graders are your teammates and the questions are written at a grade-school level. Everyone thinks that they're smarter than a 5th grader, but when the pressure is on all those stuffy afternoons in the classroom seem so far away. Each contestant has to compare answers with one of five 5th grade students in the "classroom" and hopefully come up with the right information. The 5th graders all have different academic specialties, either in math, science, geography, or social studies, so the contestant must choose wisely to advance all the way to the million dollar question.
